ENHANCING CREDIBILTY
- CEAI guidelines for induction of members have been prepared in a manner to ensure quality membership.
- As a consequence of the consistent and persistent efforts made, Membership of CEAI is being increasingly recognized as a
mark of credibility. Many users of consultants short-list CEAI members.
- Enactment of Engineers Bill is being relentlessly pursued by CEAI which will impart statutory recognition to the profession.
PROMOTION
- CEAI maintains regular contact with government for fiscal, tax and other matters as required by the profession.
- The profiles of members are printed in the CEAI Member Directory. This Directory is widely circulated.
- CEAI has brought out "Recommended Professional Fee Structure" recommending the basis on which the fee payable to a consultant should be fixed for various types of consultancy services.
- For streamlining Client - Consultant relationship a document "Client-Consultant
Model Services Agreement" has been published, this document recommends the basic format for service agreements between a client and a consultant.
- CEAI has its own website and many members have included their details in that. This helps in business promotion.
CEAI Website {www.ceaindia.org}, launched in 1997, opens up an opportunity for our members for world-wide exposure of their expertise and capabilities. News of interest to the profession are included in the website.
COMMUNICATION
- Monthly Newsletter “View Point: Consulting Engineer” communicates effectively with members and users of consultancy services.
INTERACTION
- CEAI, through its proactive role, interaction with other professionals, public/private sector undertakings, concerned ministries and Government departments, financial institutions and other professional societies.
- CEAI arranges national and international seminars from time to time.
- Technical Workshops/Interactive Meets are organized by CEAI frequently.
- CEAI pursues close liaison with counterpart associations of other countries and has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU ) with American Council of Consulting Engineers (ACEC), China National Association of Engineering Consultants (CNAEC) and Korean Engineering & Consulting Association (KENCA).
- CEAI signed an Agreement of Cooperation with The Institution of Engineers (India).
