HONORARY MEMBER

In exceptional cases, prominent individuals of high standing and repute in the engineering profession may be elected Honorary Members of the Association. The number of Honorary Member shall not exceed ten.

MEMBER (INDIVIDUAL)

Every applicant for MEMBER (Individual) of the Association shall satisfy the Governing Council that he

· Is a Corporate Member of a recognised professional engineering society in India or abroad, and

· Is in the profession of Consulting Engineering for not less than five years, practising individually or as a partner, or consultant of a firm of Consulting Engineers or has been in service in a responsible capacity in a reputed firm of Consulting Engineers, or

· Has retired from the engineering profession from a position of high responsibility and has been practising as Consulting Engineer for not less than two years.

Annual Subscription for MEMBER (Individual) is Rs. 1,000.

MEMBER (ORGANISATION)

· The organisation is in the practice of Consulting Engineering profession for not less
than two years, and

· Has a turnover of not less than Rs. 5,00,000 from consultancy practice, or

· The organisation, incorporated in india, is in consulting engineering practice abroad for
not less than five years, and

· Has a turnover of not less than US Dollar 5,00,000

EPC FIRMS

Engineering Procurement & Construction Consultancy Firms may also be admitted as MEMBER (Organisation) at the discretion of the Governing Council.

Annual Subscription of EPC Firms :-

· Turnover exceeding Rs. 50 Million : Rs. 30,000.
· Turnover less than Rs. 50 Million : Rs. 25,000.

AFFILIATE MEMBER (INDIVIDUAL)

Every applicant for AFFILIATE MEMBER (Individual) shall satisfy the Governing Council that:

· Being an individual not eligible for member, he has been actively involved in the practice of Consulting Engineering profession for a minimum period of two years, and

· Has made or will be able to make significant contributions to the advancement of the
profession.

Annual Subscription for AFFILIATE MEMBER (Individual) is Rs. 1,500.

AFFILIATE MEMBER (ORGANISATION)

Every applicant for Affiliate Member (Organisation) shall satisfy the Governing Council that the firm/organisation/ institution.

· Subscribe to the aims and objectives of the Consulting Engineers Association of India,
and

· Is engaged in activities relevant to the Consulting Engineering profession.

FOREIGN MEMBERS

The membership will only be considered subject to meeting the following criteria :

1.	An Individual based outside India, foreign national or NRI, having professional qualifications can also become member of the Association. The person should be member in good standing of a similar professional body in his home country and should have been in the profession of consulting engineering for not less than 5 years, practicing individually or as a partner or has been in service in responsible capacity in a reputed firm of consulting engineers.

2.	Foreign Member (Organisation). The foreign consulting engineering companies can become member of the Association on production of proof of being in the consulting engineering profession in their home country for not less than 5 years, be a member in good standing of a similar professional body in their home country and having a turnover of not less than US$ one million.

3.	The Governing Council shall consider membership for individuals having foreign qualifications at least equivalent to that of comparable Indian colleges and universities.

4.	Equivalency measures for qualification procedures. Association shall consider qualifications of foreign individuals and organisations similar to those adopted by the Association for domestic Members. The Governing Council also examine the qualification requirements in the home country of the member.

The following annual subscriptions would be applicable for foreign members seeking membership of CEAI :-
